Where is this service hosted?
In our regional datacenters in Lyon and Grenoble, operated by ASN NET SASU. Your data stays exclusively in France.
What is the uptime commitment?
We target 99.9% uptime over the year, measured monthly.
How does technical support work?
Our engineers are reachable by email (contact@asncloud.fr) and by phone during business hours. Extended 24/7 support is available on request.
Is there a minimum commitment period?
Not by default: our plans come with no commitment and monthly billing. 12- or 36-month commitments are available with preferential rates.
What is ASN Drive?
ASN Drive is a 100% French file sharing and synchronization platform, operated in our Lyon and Grenoble datacenters. It lets a team centralize its documents, sync them across multiple devices and share them both internally and with external people, with native GDPR compliance.
How many users can each tier accommodate?
The tiers are sized to cover 10 to 30 users on 100 GB, and up to several hundred users on 2 TB, depending on your average data volume per user. For very specific needs (thousands of users, volumes beyond 2 TB), contact us for a tailored quote.
Can I change tier after ordering?
Yes. You can move up or down a tier at any time from your customer portal. The change takes effect at the next billing cycle and we migrate your data to the new capacity with no service interruption.
What is the difference between SAS HDD and SSD?
SAS HDD storage is cost-effective and offers ample capacity for most drive use cases (documents, office files, archives). SSD delivers maximum performance - very low access times and high throughput - particularly suited to large teams, media libraries or heavily accessed document repositories.
Compatible with iOS and Android mobile?
Yes. The iOS and Android mobile apps let you access your files, upload them from your device, enable automatic photo backup and share easily. Two-factor authentication is supported.
Can I share files with external people?
Yes. You generate a sharing link for a file or folder, optionally protected by a password and an expiry date. External recipients do not need an ASN Drive account to access the shared content.
Is the data encrypted?
Traffic between clients and the server is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest is stored on a disk-level encrypted volume. For end-to-end encryption of specific sensitive folders, third-party tools such as Cryptomator are compatible.
How does it differ from an FTP or a NAS?
FTP is a technical transfer protocol and a NAS is raw network storage. ASN Drive is a collaborative application platform: automatic synchronization, a modern interface, cross-platform clients, user management and external sharing. It is a higher level of abstraction, designed for teams.
How do I migrate from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive?
You can download the full export of your data from your current account, then upload it via the ASN Drive sync client. For large volumes, we can support you with an assisted migration (rsync, batch scripts).
