Dedicated isolated instance
Your own dedicated virtual machine, no shared datastore. Complete segregation, guaranteed performance, and configuration you can tailor yourself.
Backup & Drive · ASN Storage
A dedicated isolated storage instance based on OpenMediaVault, accessible via FTP, SFTP, NFS, Rsync and SMB/CIFS simultaneously. Backup of network equipment configs, live NFS datastore for your hypervisors, SMB sharing for Windows and Mac, Rsync backup of standalone Linux servers. Operated in our regional datacenters in Lyon and Grenoble.
Multi-protocol storage - FTP, SFTP, NFS, Rsync, SMB
Backup & Drive Operated regionally, in Lyon and Grenoble.Access your data from every environment, natively.
FTP
Backup of network equipment configs, standard transfers, universal clients.
SFTP
Encrypted transfer over SSH, ideal for secure scripts and multi-tenant environments.
NFS
Live datastore for Unix/Linux hypervisors, high performance.
Rsync
Delta-efficient incremental backup, standard scripts, bandwidth savings.
SMB/CIFS
Native Windows sharing, Mac/Linux network drive, Time Machine target.
Your own dedicated virtual machine, no shared datastore. Complete segregation, guaranteed performance, and configuration you can tailor yourself.
FTP, SFTP, NFS, Rsync, SMB/CIFS can be enabled simultaneously on the same instance. One storage, five ways to access it depending on the client and use case.
Operated in our Lyon and Grenoble datacenters, with data kept exclusively in France, under French jurisdiction. Regional sovereign cloud.
Redundant hardware RAID arrays tolerant to disk failures, protecting your data against physical failures.
Change tier at any time from your customer area, with no migration or downtime. The additional space is available immediately.
Three complementary services for very different use cases. See at a glance which one fits your needs.

Key benefits
A single storage accessible through five protocols, with a dedicated isolated instance per customer. No shared datastore: your storage, your configuration, your permissions, no neighbors. The five protocols (FTP, SFTP, NFS, Rsync, SMB/CIFS) run on OpenMediaVault, an open source NAS-specialized distribution, licensed under GPL-3.0. The service is a storage solution, not a backup: be sure to put your own backup strategy in place if your data needs to be protected (Proxmox Backup Server is well suited for this).
ASN Storage is designed for three technical profiles with clearly distinct needs.
ASN Storage covers the use cases where Proxmox Backup Server is not a fit.
Automated daily backup of the configs of your switches, routers, Fortinet/Stormshield firewalls and Wi-Fi access points. 100 to 500 GB is enough for hundreds of devices. Orchestration via standard scripts or an NMS platform.
Active storage shared across your Proxmox, ESXi or KVM hypervisors. Ideal for exposing a pool of ISOs, shared templates or a live datastore. 2 TB shared across 3 hypervisors, with no replication to manage on your side.
Shared network drive that centralizes your company's documents. Can be mounted as drive Z: on Windows, via Finder on macOS, and used as a Time Machine target. Granular permissions per user and per folder.
Bandwidth-efficient incremental backup of your Linux servers outside the Proxmox ecosystem. Reuse your existing scripts (rsync -a --delete), scheduled via cron. Bandwidth savings thanks to native delta transfer.
Each use case has its preferred protocol. All 5 are active simultaneously on your instance.

FAQ
In our regional datacenters in Lyon and Grenoble, operated by ASN NET SASU. Your data stays exclusively in France.
We target 99.9% uptime over the year, measured monthly.
Our engineers are reachable by email (contact@asncloud.fr) and by phone during business hours. Extended 24/7 support is available on request.
Not by default: our plans come with no commitment and monthly billing. 12- or 36-month commitments are available with preferential rates.
No. ASN Storage is a multi-protocol storage service, not a backup solution. Data written to the instance is not backed up automatically. If your data needs to be backed up, plan a dedicated strategy on the client side (Rsync scripts, scheduled jobs) or choose Proxmox Backup Server for managed backup with retention and deduplication.
FTP (with FTPS over TLS), SFTP (over SSH), NFS (v3 and v4), Rsync (over SSH) and SMB/CIFS (compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux). All 5 protocols can be enabled simultaneously on the same instance, with access control per user and per share.
Yes. You can define an SMB share for your Windows workstations, an NFS export for your hypervisors, an FTP account for your network equipment and an Rsync target for your backup scripts - all on the same instance. Each share has its own permissions and quotas.
ASN Storage's NFS storage is active live storage: your VMs read and write to it in real time. Proxmox Backup Server is deduplicated, versioned backup with retention and granular restore. The two are complementary, not competing.
Yes. The FTP protocol (or SFTP over TLS) is natively supported by most network devices (Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper, Fortinet, Stormshield, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti…). You set up a dedicated FTP account and point your devices to it with a scheduled config backup task.
On delivery you receive an SSH login and a destination path. From your server: `rsync -avz --delete /data/ user@your-instance.asncloud.fr:/data/`. Schedulable via cron, compatible with all your existing scripts.
Yes, like any network share. On Windows: `\\server.your-domain.asncloud.fr\share` from File Explorer, or `net use Z: \\server…`. On macOS: Finder → Go → Connect to Server → `smb://server…`. Support for the SMB 3 protocol with encryption in transit.
Encryption in transit depends on the protocol: FTPS (TLS) for FTP, SSH for Rsync, encrypted SMB 3 for Windows, Kerberos v5 for NFSv4. We do not encrypt data at rest on the instance by default - for strong client-side encryption requirements, consider Proxmox Backup Server instead, which encrypts with client-side AES-256.
Yes, at any time from your customer portal. You move up or down a tier at the next billing cycle. The additional space is available immediately, with no migration and no service interruption.
