Our network infrastructure

4 pillars for solid, sovereign IP transit

Our AS

AS204948

Our own AS number, no reselling. Direct peer-to-peer announcement of your prefixes.

Direct peering

France-IX

Paris & Marseille - optimal latency to French consumer content.

Regional datacenters

Lyon & Grenoble

French sovereignty, low latency to the whole country, operated in the region.

Network security

Anti-DDoS included

Automatic L3/L4 volumetric mitigation on all tiers, with no client-side configuration.

How it works

From the technical study to the active BGP session, allow 3 to 5 business days.

  1. Technical study

You send us your AS number (or we guide you through the RIPE process), the list of IPv4/IPv6 prefixes to announce, the desired commit/burst and your redundancy requirements.

  2. Quote and contract

A tailored proposal within 24-48 business hours with a recommended tier, delivery port and pricing terms. Validation of the Letter of Agency and IRR objects.

  3. BGP activation

Router configuration on the ASN CLOUD side within 2 business days, eBGP session testing with you, and switchover of announcements. Full IPv4 and IPv6 table delivered, communities documented.

What sets us apart

Our AS204948 directly

Transit delivered from our own AS number, no reselling. Direct announcement of your prefixes, peer-to-peer BGP session on AS204948.

Burst 2× the commit, always

Each tier offers a burst at 2× the commit value at no extra cost on short peaks. More generous than standard market offers.

France-IX peering in Paris and Marseille

Direct connection to the two main French internet exchanges for optimal latency to consumer content.

Multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 transit providers

Redundancy ensured by several leading upstreams. Automatic rerouting in the event of an incident on a transit provider.

Delivered from Lyon and Grenoble

French regional datacenters, low latency across the whole country. Sovereignty and operator proximity included.

Volumetric anti-DDoS included

Automatic L3/L4 protection on every tier, with mitigation requiring no action on the customer side. No extra cost for standard protection.

Who is it for?

ASN CLOUD IP transit is aimed at three technical B2B profiles that have mastered BGP.

Hosting provider / Datacenter

  • Redundancy across multiple Tier 1 and Tier 2 transit providers, automatic rerouting in the event of an upstream incident
  • Systematic burst at 2× the commit: absorbs seasonal peaks without renegotiating the plan
  • France-IX peering to reduce transit usage on consumer content

Alternative carrier / ISP

  • Peer-to-peer BGP session on AS204948, announce your own prefixes with no intermediary reseller
  • Full-table IPv4 and IPv6 provided, open peering policy on French IXPs
  • On-demand assistance with LoA, RPKI ROA and IRR records for a clean go-live

Company with an ASN

  • Transit independent of your incumbent ISP, with BGP multihoming available
  • Full-table provided for fine-grained control of outbound routing
  • IPv6 included by default, dedicated IPv6 prefix if you don't have your own

How billing works

Guaranteed commit, free burst, 95th percentile billing: the carrier market standard.

Guaranteed commit

Your bandwidth is guaranteed at all times at the chosen commit level (from 250 Mbit/s to 10 Gbit/s depending on the tier). This value is included in the monthly plan, with no possible extra cost as long as your traffic stays below the commit.

Free burst up to 2× the commit

Your traffic peaks are allowed up to 2× the commit value, with no special configuration. Short spikes and peak hours pass freely, at no extra cost.

95th percentile measurement over the month

Each month, we sample your traffic and discard the highest 5% of peaks (~36 h). The 95th percentile is the maximum value of what remains. If it exceeds your commit, every additional Mbps is billed at the tier's overage rate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Where is this service hosted?

In our regional datacenters in Lyon and Grenoble, operated by ASN NET SASU. Your data stays exclusively in France.

What is the uptime commitment?

We target 99.9% uptime over the year, measured monthly.

How does technical support work?

Our engineers are reachable by email (contact@asncloud.fr) and by phone during business hours. Extended 24/7 support is available on request.

Is there a minimum commitment period?

Not by default: our plans come with no commitment and monthly billing. 12- or 36-month commitments are available with preferential rates.

What do I need to provide to sign up?

Your AS number (RIPE or equivalent), the list of IPv4/IPv6 prefixes to announce, a Letter of Agency (LoA) for each block, and ideally your route / route6 objects in the IRR. If you do not yet have an AS, we support you through the RIPE NCC process.

How does 95th percentile measurement work?

We sample your traffic every 5 minutes (8,640 data points per month). The top 5% of values (432 points ≈ 36 h) are discarded. The 95th percentile is the highest value among the remainder. If it exceeds your commit, each additional Mbps is billed at the tier's overage rate.

Can I announce my own prefixes via BGP?

Yes, this is the standard setup. We configure an eBGP session between your equipment and our router, and you announce your IPv4/IPv6 prefixes with the communities of your choice. Strict filtering via LoA and IRR on the ASN CLOUD side.

Which IXPs are you connected to?

France-IX Paris and France-IX Marseille (via AS204948). The list is set to expand to the regional IXPs in Lyon (LyonIX) and Grenoble (GrenoblIX) as the network evolves. PeeringDB kept up to date on AS204948.

Which delivery ports do you offer?

1 GBase-T RJ45 or 1/10 GBase-X SFP+ as standard. 10G SFP+ recommended from the 1 Gbit/s tier onward to absorb the burst. 40G QSFP+ or 100G QSFP28 ports available on request for volumes beyond 10 Gbit/s.

Do you provide a full table or a partial one?

Full-table IPv4 + IPv6 by default, ~950k IPv4 routes and ~200k IPv6 routes. A default-only or partial table (customers-only) is available on request if your router lacks the memory capacity.

Is IPv6 included?

Yes, always. Same plan, same commit, same 95th-percentile measurement. If you do not have your own IPv6 block, we can delegate a /48 or /44 from our ASN CLOUD PI under your contract.

How does the go-live process work?

After receiving the LoA and validating the prefixes: router configuration on the ASN CLOUD side within 2 business days, eBGP session testing with you, and announcement cutover. Allow 3 to 5 business days from signature to delivery.

Can I upgrade my commit during the contract?

Yes, at any time via your client portal or by ticket. An increase in commit takes effect at the next billing cycle. A decrease in commit is subject to one month's notice with no penalty. No minimum commitment.
